crucial communication,..

For scientists who would be agents of change,
communication is not an add-on.
It is central to their enterprise.
They begin with a goal in mind,
frame their research questions to produce useful results and think
about how they will disseminate the information.
Yet learning to communicate is a critical life skill not typically taught as part of scientific training.

It should be.

ask and it's given: "saye nak jumpe fina, vocalist jobbersrobbers"

my first post for the 'ask and it's given section', hee finally~,.. after keep on getting several unexpected and impossible gratifications of what i visualize lately, i think it's time for me to take charge of it,.. and, to test the energy of the law of attraction, i have to ask for the things that would blow my mind, when it became reality as suggested by Michael Lossier,..

"i would like to wish for the chance to meet Fina, the vocalist of Jobberscrobbers band, in-person!!"

"X) gotta wish something crazy enough to blow my mind straight away, right?"

step 1, had been done which is 'ask',.. the universe is answering and the law of attraction will begin its task, step 2 'answer',.. and, its just a matter of time for my inner frequency to be in alignment for the wish to be materialized, and it will be the final step, step 3 'receiving',.. X)

"The Malaysian government is planning on building one of the tallest buildings in the world - a 100-storey commercial tower that will cost an estimated USD 1.6bn. (RM 5bn.).

The country's prime minister says it will be "a symbol of a modern developed country", but the plan has angered thousands of Malaysians who see it as a huge waste of money.

They view it as being redundant in a country with serious economic troubles and that already has the world's largest twin buildings in the Petronas Twin Towers.

USR @ UMT,..

(picture taken from http://www.umt.edu.my/v8/)

During my way to the campus yesterday, I had an opportunity to witness the official launching of USR@UMT programme,.. This programme was given the name University Social Responsibility @ University Malaysia Terengganu (USR@UMT) has been designed to meet the objectives of UMT to play an active role in social development, economy and education through the provision of services to the community, especially those nearby,.. Initiatives and efforts to implement the USR programme is aimed at improving the welfare of the community through contributions of the existing expertise in UMT,..

Apart from that, USR is also an approach to increase the socialization between the university with the community around it. Through the USR, university will be able to manifest its intention to establish and foster a harmonious relationship with the community,.. Thus, the success of the programme requires support and cooperation from various parties such as Member of Legislative Assembly (ADUN), Village Development Comittee (JKK) and the local community,..

loss and gain,..

there were so many memories i got in fishing, both bitter and sweet,.. i have learnt so many values from it, sharing precious moments with friends,.. about a couple of weeks ago, i had been to merang for fishing,.. haahaha, guess what? i loss my fishing rod and spinning reel in one go,.. they fell under the bridge near jetty when we were fishing,.. i swam and dive to find it, but failed,.. it's okay, why do you want to burden your mind thinking of the loss things? it was already loss, no matter how heavy you regret, things would not come back,.. so, think of the future!! think how you can correct your mistake to prevent it from occurring again,.. think positive and learn how to cheer in despair and in 'unfavorable condition', haahaha!!

be positive and cheerful,..

(picture taken from http://www.rvanbrunt.com)

Perhaps the most helpful decision you can make is to develop the habit of being a pleasant, positive person. Refuse to criticize, condemn, or complain. Do not engage in gossip or gripe sessions with your co-workers. Imagine that everything you say at work will be repeated and published on the company bulletin board. Guard your tongue. Instead, look for something good to say about everyone.

Always be cheerful and friendly. Be patient and easy going. Be polite and courteous. Be thoughtful and considerate. Be the kind of person everyone likes to have working for them, or likes to work for or with.

In our modern business world, it is always the people who are competent, capable, likable, and pleasant who are paid the most and promoted the fastest. Make it a habit to look for the good in every person and situation, to keep focused on helping other people, and to add value to your company. These habits will help you as much or more than anything else you could possibly do.

close but far,..

Many a person has held close, throughout their entire lives, two friends that always remained strange to one another, because one of them attracted by virtue of similarity, the other by difference...

(Emil Ludwig)

seven step to a new habit,..

Step 1: Make a decision.
Decide clearly that you are going to begin acting in a specific way 100 percent of the time. For example, if you decide to rise early and exercise each morning, set your clock for a specific time; when the alarm goes off, immediately get up, put on your exercise clothes, and begin your exercise session.

Step 2: Never allow an exception.
Do not make exceptions to your new habit pattern during the formative stages. Don't make excuses or rationalizations. Don't let yourself off the hook. If you resolve to get up at 6:00 a.m. each morning, discipline yourself to get up at 6:00 a.m., every single morning until this become automatic.

Step 3: Tell others.
Inform people around you that you are going to begin practicing a particular behavior. It is amazing how much more disciplined and determined you will become when you know others are watching you to see if you have the willpower to follow through on your resolution.

Step 4: Visualize yourself.
In your mind's eye, see yourself performing or behaving in a particular way in a particular situation. The more often you visualize and imagine yourself acting as if you already had the new habit, the more rapidly this new behavior will be accepted by your subconscious mind and become automatic.

Step 5: Create an affirmation.
Repeat affirmation over and over to yourself. This repetition dramatically increases the speed at which you develop the new habit. For example, you can say something like, "I get up and get going immediately at 6:00 each morning!" Repeat these words the last thing before you fall asleep. In most cases, you will automatically wake up minutes before the alarm clock goes off, and soon you will need no alarm clock at all.

Step 6: Resolve to persist.
Keep practicing the new behavior until it is so automatic and easy that you actually feel uncomfortable when you do not do what you have decided to do.

Step 7: Reward yourself.
Most important, give yourself a treat of some kind for practicing the new behavior. Each time you reward yourself, you reaffirm and reinforce the behavior. Soon you begin to associate, at an unconscious level, the pleasure of the reward with the behavior. You set up your own force field of positive consequences that you unconsciously look forward to as the result of engaging in the behavior or habit that you have decided upon.

habits,..

(picture taken from gloriaward.com)

The individual who wants to reach the top in business must appreciate the might of the force of habit - and must understand that practices are what create habits. He must be quick to break those habits that can break him - and hasten to adopt those practices that will become the habits that help him achieve the success he desires.

words of wisdom,..

what you see is what you will be,..

The most powerful affirmation or message you can send from your conscious mind to your subconscious mind is visualization or mental image. Develop the habit  of creating clear, positive, exciting pictures of yourself performing at your best and visions of your goals as if they were already achieved.

Each time you create a mental image in your conscious mind, you send a message that activates your subconscious mind, triggers the Law of Attraction, stimulates your creativity, and moves you toward the realization of that mental picture in your external world.

Positive, successful people make a habit of continually visualizing the outcomes that they desire, thereby programming their subconscious minds and shaping their self-image and their external performance.

Best of all is when you combine positive self-talk with positive mental imaging. You talk about the things you want, and you create exciting mental pictures of your goals and desires as if they already existed in your reality. Positive thoughts and words make you more optimistic, give you more energy, enable you to bounce back faster from disappointment, and keep you moving forward throughout the day.

patience,..

"tak pakcik, cuma kunci tertinggal kat rumah kawan,.. sbb tu tak dpt start ni, nasib baik tak kunci kepala,.."

"mari adik, pakcik tolong tolakkan,.." kata pakcik tersebut sambil menunggang motosikalnya mendekatiku dan meluruskan kaki kanannya menghalakan tapak kakinya ke arah paddle motosikalku,..

"takpe pakcik, biar saya sorong sahaja,.. lagipun rumah kawan saya depan sana sahaja,.."

"takpe, takpe, takpe,.. mari pakcik tolong, kita gi sama2,.."

"takpe pakcik, rumah kawan saya jauh sikit,.. kat belakang pagar UMT sana,.. terima kasih yea, pakcik,.. terima kasih,.."

pakcik berkenaan pun senyum dan berkata,.. "baiklah, pelan2 la yea? nnti sampai la kan?"

"terima kasih pakcik, terima kasih,.." aku angkat tanganku tanda terima kasih,..

"diorang dah nak start konvoi kemerdekaan agaknya ni,.. kulihat jam tanganku menunjukkan pukul 11.15 malam,..

"semua okay yea, bang?"

"tak pakcik,.. tadi sewa kereta, tp kunci tertinggal kat rumah kawan,.."

equity equality,..

as adapted from book written by mohd. (2008), james march and herbert simon introduced the reward-contribution theory which was later known as the theory of equity,.. which later fall under the group of theories of social comparison, based on the way human think or also known as cognitive,..

social comparison theory focused on the perceptions and one’s feeling regarding whether they considered of getting a fair treatment when compared to other individuals,.. when someone feel what they received was unfair, they become unsatisfied with it,.. thus, that feeling motivates them to change the situation until their satisfaction fulfilled,..

one’s contribution are called their input, whereas what they received are rewards,.. examples of input and results are time, money, energy, feasibility, skills, loyalty, love etc.,.. when one assumed that the ratio of input and result was fair, they will be satisfied,.. as a consequence, they became motivated in doing their task,.. but, if they feel the ratio is unfair, they will slowly loose their effort,.. however, what considered as fair and unfair is totally depends on one’s perception,..

according to this theory, one will be satisfied when there are equality between input and rewards,.. they will feel guilty when they get rewards that are higher than the contribution they give,.. as a result, they tend to correct the condition so that equality exist,.. the degree of guilt one feel correlates with how big is the excess of rewards they get,..
this is also true on the contrary,.. when rewards they received is inappropriate with what their contribute, they become unsatisfied,.. as a result, they tend to change the situation,..

mohd. (2008) in her book, listed and elaborated six ways how ones correct the ratio between contribution they give with rewards they received which they assume not in balance, which are:

  • change they contribution,..
  • change rewards they received,..
  • fluctuating assumptions on their inputs and rewards,..
  • changing the objects of comparison,..
  • escape from the current situation,..

creative individuals,..

Dacey and Ripple as in book written by Mohd. (2008) stated characters of very creative individuals:

  • they are more sensitive on the presence of problem in their surroundings.
  • they can easily get emotion and mental disturbance, but they can manage it.
  • they can think analytically and intuitively, simultaneously.
  • they can think in convergent, which is by solving problem with only one correct answer.
  • they can also think in divergent, solving problem that has many possible correct answers.
  • they show very high dedication and enthusiasm in their task.
  • they may have above average IQ but not falls into genius.
  • they are more open towards new experience and willing to accept new ideas.
  • the are responsible on what is happening on themselves, and not easily blame others for it.
  • they like exciting and likes to play with various ideas.
  • they have their own independent thought, and they are not influenced by other people's thought.
  • they are not afraid to follow their instinct and ready to treat their hidden emotion.
  • they like to follow their own plan, do their own decision and they can drive their own thinking.
  • they dislike to work with others and they like to judge their own work negligent others.
  • that is why, they dislike to ask for other's opinion.
Internal opinion is emotional drive and mental willpower for creative people. When faced with complex and tough problems, creative people tend to think positively. When they are asked to give opinion, they give various types of idea. Most of it became the laughing stock for people. When they are criticized, they defend their ideas. In certain irregular circumstances, they showed their characteristics of resourcefulness and creativity.
